Abstract EN

Adolesance is an important stage in human life , because it represents a period of mental , social and psychological development , but it has behavioral problems and psychological disorders in which adolescents may encounter .

One of them is intermittent explosive disorder , which is one type of disorders of controlling on behavior which may be distinguished by the presence of frequent rapid tantrums of anger , that take aggressive explosive form , and may lead to verbal , bodily aggressive behavior or destroy properties of others .

This disorder abnormal state which may threat the life of the adolescents and their happiness , so adolescents who suffer from this disorder may experience the worst emotional states , and show numerous energy of anger which might destroy social , professional and family life .

The study is aimed at : 1- To know the ratio of prevalence of intermittent explosive disorder .

2- Test the intermittent explosive disorder in the adolescents .

3- Test individual differences of gender (males & females ) in the intermittent explosive disorder in the adolescents The sample of the research consisted of (1200) students (males & females ) equally , who were chosen randomly from (12) schools .

The researcher constructed intermittent explosive disorder scale which consist of (30) items ,and achieved psychometric devices ( face and construct validity) that do not omit any item .

The validity coefficient of the scale ( internal consistency ) was (0.77) and retest was (0.74).

The research reached the following findings : 1- The adolescents do not suffer from the intermittent explosive disorder .

2- There are significant gender differences in the intermittent explosive disorder for male .

And according to these findings , the researcher made several recommendations and suggestions.
