تأثير مواعيد و مسافات الزراعة في حاصل العلف الأخضر و الجاف لمحصول الذرة البيضاء Sorghum bicolor L. (moench)‎ في أهوار محافظة ذي قار

Abstract EN

This study was conducted on sorghum crop at Al-Tar and Al-Islah locations in Thi-Qar Governorate in the years 2005 and 2006, to study the effects of three cultivation dates 15/7, 30/7 and 15/8 and six plant spacing (10x75, 20x75, 30x75, 10x5, 20x50, 30x50) cm, and the interaction of these factores on the fodder yield, Split Plot Design with three replicates used in this study.

The results showed that:The interaction between cultivation dates and the plant spacing had significant effects on all fodder characters, the spacing (10x50)cm on (30/july) gave the highest value on fodder yield after (30)days from the sowing date، and the same spacing but on (15/Augst)for fodder yield after 50 and 70 days at Al-Tar site, and the spacing (10x50)cm on (15/july) at Al-Islah site after (70)days from the sowing date.

The spacing (10x50)cm in the (15/August) gave the highest values of dry leaves yield, dry stem yield,total dry mater yield for both locations, and the spacing (20x75)cm in (15/August) for percentage of dry leaves weight/plant for both locations too .
