The current research aimed at finding out the effect of pictorial story technique on developing ethical thinking.
The research also targeted discovering the differences between males and females as to the degree of ethical thinking of basic education first-grade pupils.
The research used the pseudo-empirical method.
The tools of the study were applied to the research sample, which includeed 35 basic education first-grade male and female pupils at the beginning of the second semester of the scholastic year 2015 / 2016.
The researcher employed two tools : a learning program based on the pictorial story technique, which seeks out developing basic education first-grade pupils' ethical thinking, and the pictorial ethical thinking scale, prepared by Fawqiah Abdulfattah, after making sure of its validity and reliability.
The research reached the following results : - There were differences of statistical significance at the 0.05 level between two means of the sample population's degrees in both the pre-application and post-application of the ethical thinking test, ascribable to the use of the pictorial story technique for the post-application.
- There were no differences of statistical significance at the 0.05 level between the two means of the males and female's degrees in the post-application of the ethical thinking test.
