Abstract EN

In this study, a free vibration spectral element for-mulation of rods is presented.

The method is based on the shape fonction formulations, which are after-wards developed to build the stiffness matrix ©fthe spectral element.

To present the performance of the spectral element method, a numerical analysis using the finite element method is already established for the same objective.

The comparison of obtained results by the spectral element and the analytical method of part and the fi-nite element method elsewhere, is established.

Tbis comparison shows highly the performance and the robustness of the spectral element method in dynam-ic analysis.
