Abstract EN

Our paper presents a subject that has not yet been suf£ciently taken care of by academic researchers and is limited to the view of the French historical school of the Ottoman presence in Algeria.

The Ottoman period from 1516 to 1830 was subjected to obliteration, distortion and falsification of historical facts about this existence.

This school devoted all its material and human resources to the consolidation of this trend, until Algerians handed down negative judgments about the Ottoman rule in Algeria, claiming that the French campaign against Algeria in 1830 was aimed at saving Algerians and liberating them.
