Abstract EN

The present study aimed to identify the role of pedagogical treatment sessions in improving the educational level of slow learners from the viewpoint of primary school teachers in Tlemcen.

To achieve the objetives of the study the researchers built a questionnaire comprised of 10 items divided into two main axes based on a descriptive analytical method.

The study sample consisted of 224 teachers(male and female) in Tlemcen.

The results indicated a rate of only(46 %) of the teachers are aware of the category of children with slow learning while(54 %) of them seemed in confusion between members of the study sample, with learning difficulties and children with academic underachiement.

According to the teachers, there are between(1 to 5) of slow learners in each classroom and(56 %) of the teachers estimated that pedagogical treatment can help in improving the level of this category, they also suggested to integrate them in special classes by agreement of (33%), followed by the use of the pedagogical treatment sessions with a rate of (12 %) and the intensification of home works.
