The provisions of international law in general suffer from the problem of efficiency and whether or not this law is able to impose respect in practice.

In addition to this, provisions of international humanitarian law are not strange from that trend whether it is due to sovereignty or the political will of the contries involved.

Despite that, the varions international recommendations make sure that it is obligatory to include the provisions of international humanitarian law withim national legislations in order to make such provisions more effective in everyday practice.

I will address in the following article the effectiveness of international humanitarian law between its promising potential and its constraints in practice.
