This article deals with research in literary criticism, and its counterparts in Arabic rhetoric.

The problem of the separation of the two fields in old Arabic resuts from the overlaping of materials and elements to the point where it is difficult to distinguish between what is rhetoric and what is not.

This study opens the way for students to closely look for appropriate solutions.
