The article studies rhyme, particularly the voice of the vowel (A) with its several functions since this last gives a given poem a rich variation of possible meanings.

This turns the poem into a great condensation of thematic and aesthetic potentials.

However, rhetoricians do not usually devote to rhyme the importance it deserves.

In this connection, the aim of this research is to explain the relation between the rhyme and meaning using as an illustration some poems by Mohammed Al Eid AL Khalifa.
