Abstract EN

This paper attempts to question the pivotal role of the university in several ways, in terms of complementarily between university and the labor market.

This latter constantly needs to be qualified in human resources to meet the needs of different sectors.

Therefore, this article first identifies the function of the university and its assumed mission, then it seeks to identify the reality of higher education as well as analyzing the role of the university in achieving innovation and rehabilitation of manpower.

Last, the study highlights university’s role in the production of resources, labor market and community development.
