This article is a historical study about one of the second epic punic war episodes,that broke out between Rome and Carthage, in the late third century BC,in which the Carthaginian leader Hanibal achieved many victories over the Roman entity in the Italian region,and therefore, he threatened the Roman entity and its senate.This took place between 216 and 218 BC.
