Juno (Hera) is a sister (but also the wife) of the chief god of Jupiter and, to gether with Minerva was worshipped as a triad of the capitol.

Juno is the divine protectress of women and marriage.

Jupiter is the supreme god associated with thunder, lightning and storms.

The cult of the two gods was attested in Numidia.

The association and the assimilation of Juno and Jupiter to local deities have improved the diffusion of their cult.

The myths and iconography are adapted to Greeks ones.
