Abstract EN

This article tackles the history of the archeological excavations in Algeria which were meant to trace back the history of the region.

These excavations took place during the French colonization and after Independence, and this led to unveil many archeological objects which belong to different historical periods.

These discovered archeological remains have also contributed to the development of the historical and archeological researches.
