Abstract EN

The most favored domain that is currently invested in Tamazight language planning is unequivocally terminological creation and especially the grammatical lexicon.

It is raised the question in this survey of a critical look on the Amazigh neology about the content, but also of its use and its impact on the affirmation of one or several Amazigh languages.

The various proposed terminologies are not opposed to the general objective and generally contribute to the unification of the Amazigh language, the choice of the creation of new words, by the different terminologists, based on the roots panamazigh illuminates it.

Thousands of neologisms were created, and with them introduced the modern Berber affixal derivation.

It is a process underway, resulting from the various experiences of language planning in Morocco (the work of the IRCAM) and Algeria (the works of academics especially).

However, a simple comparison between the grammatical lexicon of IRCAM and that of A.

Berkaï (Algeria) gave the following results: only 100 terms are identical between IRCAM and Berkaï, about 28.25%, 64 words are created based on the same root but differ morphologically, 12 words share an element of formation and 178 terms are created based on different roots.

It denotes that the Amazigh terminology tends to diverge than to converge; it is maybe more discriminating to criticize all created term first and then validate or prune and propose another.

It is indeed imperative to take in consideration the experiences of each other in the context of the creation of new words and the criteria especially of the implantation in the use.The solution will come maybe from the association of the researchers of the Algerian and Moroccan universities, where would be taken into consideration the most possible dialecticareas within an Amazigh academy.
