Abstract EN

This study aims at stating and proving that Arabic and Hausa languages are similar in some semantic contexts; this is achieved by shading glimmering lights on the homonym and its role in determining the meaning.

Moreover, homonym is an important linguistic issue which two languages have agreed more or less to larger extent.

I have chosen this subject to study the comparison between Arab and Hausa’s culture, as well as to contribute to the efforts carried out by the predecessors; the efforts have been expecting us for long to enrich Afro-Arab libraries.
