The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on the phonological awareness in the development of hearing skills among students with hearing impairment in the primary stage.
The study sample consisted of (8) pupils in the first grade.
Their hearing impairment ranged from (42 to 52) dB, Their scores on the Stanford Scale ranged between (100-106) with an average of (103.12) and a standard deviation of (1.96).
The ages ranged between (6.5-7) years at an average of (6.76) and a standard deviation (0.220).
They were divided equally into two equal groups.
The research has applied the training program and audio skills battery (researcher preparation).
The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the experimental and control groups on the dimensions of the audio skill battery and the total score in the telemetry for the experimental group, As well as the absence of statistically significant differences between the average grade levels of the experimental group on the dimensions of the audio skills battery and the overall score in the telemetry and follow-up measurements.
