English Abstract

This paper deals with an important stage of the Greyhound Ptolemaic Antajos conflict during the rule of the Ptolemies and the third on the right to own some areas, leading to the establishment of a long-standing disputes between both of them, and disputes over the right to possess the territory of Syria and the cavity has focused as well as some parts of Asia Minor, these events have been accompanied by Antajos third suppressing revolts that broke out in the east and then face look again towards the south in Syria, and warmed up for a campaign against the Ptolemaic troops in the middle of Syria, a year after 200 BC, was the basic characteristic of relations Seleucid Ptolemaic are the direct intervention of the Roman where and under the pretext of protecting the interests of its allies, the Ptolemies, after the state lost Ptolemaic most possessions in Asia Minor and the Phoenician coast and Geoff Syria, as well as Alecoqladas Islands and Mtlkatha when the Bosphorus Strait in Thrace region, there was a change in the Ptolemaic administration this stage and this change was not in favor of the Seleucid King, has Orstomines Ptolemy V, which was followed a prudent policy towards the warring powers adviser died, and his reign of Ptolemy V advised that pursuing a method of understanding and peaceful with Antiochus III, and this is what made the Ptolemy V closed his hands of the Treaty which it has previously entered into with the Seleucid King, and it was for this position of Ptolemy instrumental in the defeat of Antiochus III received from the Romans later.
