English Abstract

The weapon in the hand of Muslim is not to infringe at all, but it is safeguard against the enemy who will awe lies in his heart when realizes power of his enemy army and knows its readiness, and afraid to go war, and by this, the weapon becomes a tool to terrorize the enemy and not fighting him.

It is a true Islamic rule suitable for all time and place, and Islam encouraged man to work, thinking and creativity in everything, and if God praises the weapon, His intended to guide Muslims to creativity and innovation and manufacturing of match of used equipment.

The Arabs knew many kinds of metal weapons before Islam, and in the Islamic era, political and military conditions imposed developing of weapons and multiplication of it and search for new ways, and the most important of these weapons: Swords, lancers, shields, arrows and gears, and they used the so-called Letoot, an rectangular steel heads, ax, and helmets for protection their heads, and they wore guavas for protection their breasts.

Because the horse is considered an important military weapons, so they breeding and protect him, for this reason, his body was covered with steel or leather shields.

Muslim Arabs used heavy siege weapons, like catapults, tanks, and rams for piercing fences and forts, and catapult is a machine designed to throw stones at enemies from far distance.

Ibn Hisham mentioned that the Prophet was the first to throw the catapult in Islam, and this happened in the siege of Taif, and chasing remnants oh the Thaqif tribe, who are holed up in their strongholds, and they hit Muslims with arrows, which forced the companion of the Prophet to hit them by catapult.
