English Abstract

The research derives its importance from the fact that any society seeks to be developed or balanced capable of giving, giving, innovation and innovation away from psychological disorders and social misfortunes, as the societies of different kinds and degree of advancement of young people, because they hold their hopes in the continuation and development and progress and that the university of educational or scientific institutions Which plays an important and influential role in creating a renewal movement in society by influencing the social segment that will have a key role in planning, direction and production.

The current research aims to: 1-measuring the degree (optimism-pessimism) students at the University of Baghdad 2-Significance of the differences between pessimism and optimism by the survival of the following variables-Sex (male – female(.

Specialization 3-relationship optimism and pessimism by sex and specialization The sample of the students was randomly selected.

The sample of the sample was (100) (50 males), and the sample of the students was randomly selected.

(50 females).

The researcher prepared the measure of optimism and pessimism which consists of (40) paragraphs..
