L’objet de cet article est une réflexion sur l’univers de l’innovation.

En premier lieu, une synthèse historique est tracée.

Elle est suivie de diverses définitions et typologies.

Par ailleurs, les auteurs notent l’apport original du Santa Fe Institute et de l’École des systèmes complexes adaptatifs.

Le processus d’innovation et les ingrédients de la pensée créative sont ensuite décortiqués.

L’article se termine par deux pistes de recherche intéressantes : les dimensions éthiques et l’innovation malveillante.

Abstract : The purpose of this article is to reflect upon the world of innovation.

In the first place, a historical synthesis is presented, followed by various definitions and typologies.

The authors note the original contribution of the Santa Fe Institute and the School of Complex Adaptive Systems.

The process of innovation and the ingredients of creative thinking are dissected.

The article ends with two interesting research niches: ethical dimensions of innovation and malevolent innovation.
