Abstract EN

This paper tackles the concept of text as a modern theory shading some light on cohesion and coherence with reference to the sura of Al- Insan ( Man ) .

This sura is considered to be full of cohesion and coherence .

The conclusion arrived at here is that the new western theory in question can be applied to Arabic in general and to the Qura'nic text in particular .

The research paper includes some results .

For example the sura is a text enjoying cohesion and coherence .
