Abstract The challenge we face is inevitable shift to communities binds the three science and technology and development, so that communities are able to deal with the technology as an engine of an effective evolution takes us away from the danger of underdevelopment and economic marginalization, social and political.

Therefore become imperative face multiple variants that churns out the world today, education is the most important way to build peoples and face variables enormous and the big challenges is the beginning of truth for progress, world new that surrounds us from every direction for further learning, where you cannot escape it or keep away from him, and we cannot learn efficiently away from the techniques modern education with all its benefits and its benefits new and all the implications of the rapid progress and stunning.

The main research problem lies in the following question: What is the role of information technology in the development of education in higher education institutions? The main objectives of the research lies in what is the reality of the technical information used in education, such as "the Internet, and e-mail services, and video and audio conferences and other" in institutions of higher education? What are the obstacles and barriers that prevent the use of information technology and to examine the possibility of overcoming the obstacles to productive use of these technologies in the education system in institutions of higher education? After distributing questionnaires and then collected after answered by faculty research sample, and do tests statistical system using (SPSS) was out the most important conclusion that more information technology important for use in higher education from the point of view of faculty members were sequentially as follows: Internet, followed by e-mail in the order, then use the CDs, then education system by computer and then transfer the files.
