Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to investigate trends of the students Graphic design specialty at Jadra University in Jordan about joining their fields of study, and whether these trends vary according to academic level, and the branch and the rate in the secondary school.

Members of this study consisted of (>>>>) students.

The researcher developed a scale of trends in order to get the responses of students based on previous studies.

The research results found that students' attitudes towards the specialization of art education on the fields and the instrument as a whole were positive, except for the professional field.

Also there are significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) when compared to the arithmetic average of the scores of students in the first level on the social direction with the arithmetic average of the scores of students in third level and for the benefit of students in third level, and in the vocational direction for the benefit of students in the second level.

Also the results show the existence of statistically significant differences in students' attitudes towards the specialization of art Graphic design; attributed to the academic branch (GPA) for the student, on the direction of life, and social and professional direction, and that there is virtual differences between the mean scores of students on the tool as a whole and on each field of the tool according to the variable rate for students in high school.

The study recommended a number of recommendations including: the need for further studies reveal students 'attitudes toward art education specialization in other universities Jordanian in order to compare those trends with the trends of students at the Jadara University in order to detect the real causes of students' attitudes toward this specialty.
