Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to identify the degree of effectiveness of time management among Faculty of Science students at the Hashemite University and its relationship to academic achievement.

The study used a descriptive approach through distributing a questionnaire.

The study sample consisted of (386) students chosen randomly for the academic year (2015/2016) .The study results showed that the degree of effective time management at the Hashemite University was average.

The study also revealed that there were a positive correlation between time management and academic achievement.

The study also found that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) of responses on the effectiveness of time management due to the differences of levels in all domains.

On the other hand, the study found that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) of the responses at the level of effective time management due to categories differences of educational qualification (Bachelor and Graduate students) in all domains, except the hinders of time management of which the differences favor Graduate students.

In the light of the study findings, many recommendations were made including: holding workshops and training sessions about the importance of the time in the life of university student.
