Abstract EN

This study aims to identify The effect of operational flexibility represented by; Machine flexibility, Mix flexibility, volume flexibility, routing flexibility, handling flexibility on operations performance represented by quality, cost, and speed of delivery at the industrial companies that were awarded with the king Abdullah II award for excellence on the private sector category.

The study respondents were those who work at the production department and occupy positions such as; department head, department head assistant, supervisor and technical supervisor.

The main study instrument is a questionnaire which was distributed to (100) respondents, that (10) out of which were not retrieved, and (19) were excluded for not meeting the statistical analysis criteria, therefore, (71) questionnaires only met the statistical treatment and analysis criteria.

The study found a significant impact of the dimensions of operational flexibility on the operations performance at the researched companies, it was shown by the significant effect of all dimensions of operational flexibility on the quality, cost and speed of delivery in these companies, except for volume and product flexibility.
