Abstract EN

This study aims to identify and examine the role of business environment in encouraging investments at Al-Hassan Industrial Estate at Irbid governorate; the business environment was represented by the economic political stability, infrastructure, labor, and administrative procedures.

The population of the study is composed of all managers of local and foreign companies in al-Hassan Industrial Estate, which is made up of (86) companies that were chosen participate in this research.

To answer the problem of the study a questionnaire was developed and distributed to 86 managers, but only (67) questionnaires were retrieved out of which (3) were excluded for not meeting the statistical analysis criteria, therefore only 64 questionnaires were analyzed using the appropriate statistical method for this type of study.

The most important finding is; there is an important role for the economic political stability, infrastructure, labor, and administrative procedures in encouraging investments at the Al-Hassan Industrial Estate.

The study presents some recommendations such as; providing enough number of qualified workers who possess adequate experience and enough technical and administrative skills to meet the Job demands, and improving the level of services and infrastructure.

Adopting the same study on other industrial states inside and outside the kingdom to learn from their experience and to suggest solutions to problems that they may face is also highly recommended
