Abstract EN

This study aimed to know the effect of self–questioning strategy of the fifth grade literary students achievement in the rhetoric and practice and their attitudes towards them in Iraq.

The study has followed the semi–experimental method, and the study sample consisted of (64) students from schools in Thee Qar governorate center distributed to two groups: Experimental group (32) students, and control group (32) students.

The researcher has prepared the student two instruments.

Phetoric and practice achievement test that consisted of (20) items from the multi-choice type, and attitude scale towards rehetoric consisted of (30) itemsThe study results showed the presence of differences with statistically significances at significance level (a=0.05) between the mean of the students scores of the two groups the experimental and the control groups in the achievement test in the rhetoric and practice subject in favor of the experimental group and the presence of differences with statistically significance level (a=0.05)between the mean of the students scores of the two groups the of the experimental and the control groups on the attitude scale towards rhetoric and practice and in favor experimental group
