Abstract EN

This study aims at presenting an analytical critical reading of the poem of Humayd Ibn Thawr Al- Hilali (Na'at Ummo Amr…).

This reading mainly relies on the text itself and clarifies the symbolic correlative and the manifestations of the themes of "absence" and "vanishing" that lead to the theme of "death"، as well as link the themes to the destructive impact of time، which has formed a major dilemma for the humankind through all ages and times.

The study also seeks to confirm the unity of structural components and intellectual dimensions of the text through tracking the relationships between the poem partitions and its themes، then tying all of these objects together to show the synergy of everything in extracting the major statement that the poem seeks to express.
