Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the relationship between some types of muscles power and the transition speed, and to know the extent of its contribution on the digital level of javelin in athletics among students of the physical Education at Yarmouk University.

The researcher used the descriptive approach since it suits the purpose of the study.

The fitness tests were conducted on a purposeful sample of 21 students from the faculty of physical Education at Yarmouk University.

The results showed a significant correlation of the explosive strength of the used arm, the explosive power of the arms and shoulders, the explosive power of the muscles of the legs, and the transition speed of throwing javelin at the digital level.

Yet, there is no statistically significant relationship to the variables of the maximum power “the power of the fist”, burden of the arm force, and the distinctive power of the speed of the abdominal muscles.

The results also showed that the highest percentage contributing at the digital level of throwing the javelin was the explosive power of the thrower arm, followed by the explosive power of the arms and shoulders muscles and the explosive power of the legs muscles then transition speed.

The weakest percentage of contribution at the digital level was the power of the fist followed by the burden of arm power.
