Abstract EN

The issue of security was a major concern for Maghreb pilgrims in the 17th and 18th century.

Pilgrims were being robbed, cut off, attacked, and exposed to frauds in the markets.

They were also exposed to Epidemic typhus and political unrest in the areas they pass through or where pirates operate as well.of scientific research during the colonial period.
