Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the degree of practicing effective teaching skills among the teachers of sport and health in Balqa Applied University, and the relationship with some variables (gender, years of work, educational qualification) from the viewpoint of faculty members.

The study sample consisted of (19) teachers representing all members of the faculty of sport and health, in all faculties of the Balqa' Applied University, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher built a questionnaire, consisting of (40) items about the skills of effective teaching, distributed in eight areas, (clarifying goals for students, teaching aids, the presentation of the course material, the use of sources of education, stimulating motivation, reinforcement, individual differences, lecture management, interaction and skill development, values and trends).

So after analyzing the results that showed the following: The degree of practice of the members of the teaching staff, for the sport and health, was high on all axes, except for the axis of educational tools which came at the intermediate level, and the absence of differences of statistical significance, due to gender variable and on all axes.

The results of the study also showed that there are differences of statistical significance, due to variable years of work in favor of (5-10) years and on all axes.

The results also showed that no statistically significant differences, due to the variable of scientific qualification (BA, MA, PhD) and on all axes.

The researcher recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which is encouraging the teaching staff of the university to use the teaching aids to achieve the goals of effective teaching.
