Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to identify the psychological stress faced by AL - Balqa' Applied University students, and its relationship with some variables.

The study was administered in the academic year 2016/2017.

A stratified random sample was selected, the study sample consisted of (198) male students and (172) female students was drawn from three colleges, they are; AL - Balqa' Applied University Colleges/ Faculty of Engineering Technology, Faculty of Salt College for Human Science, and Amman College for Financial and Administrative Science.

The sample was distributed over the different academic levels from the first year to the fifth year.

To achieve the goal of this study, a questioner of (32) items was developed and verified for reliability and validity.

The main findings of the study, could be summarized as follows: The first question, showed that the stress level faced by AL - Balqa' Applied University students was moderate.

The second question, with respect to the gender variable, showed a significant statistical difference between genders at ( 0.05) in favor of male students.

The second question, with respect to the specialty variable, showed a significant statistical difference at ( 0.05) in favor of scientific students.

The second question, with respect to the academic level variable, showed a significant statistical difference at ( 0.05) in favor to the fourth academic level
