This study aims at identifying the availability of comprehensive accreditation and academic requirements of the eleven colleges of Arts and Sciences at the University of Qassim.
The present research is done through a survey based on the opinions of the faculty teachers and academic scholars.
In addition, to identify the obstacles that may prevent the application of quality standards.
In order to achieve these goals, the researcher has taken into account the reality of the application of the requirements of quality and the programs undertaken by the University for the Colleges of Arts and Sciences and a questionnaire was prepared and submitted to ( 488 ) of the total study population of( 980 ).
The main result was that the institutional context centerpiece won first place with a mean (3.637), and the less readily available axes in the eyes of the study sample is the focus of infrastructure support services where it received an average of (3.279).
This indicates that the basic infrastructure for the Colleges of Arts and Sciences requires more attention from the university administration in the opinion of the study sample.
While the sum of the arithmetic average of the axes got over (3.441) for the application of quality standards in the colleges of Arts and Sciences of the University of Qassim), suggesting that the colleges of Arts and Sciences application of the standards of quality is average.
The study also showed the presence of a set of constraints that limit the effectiveness of the institutional performance and the most important is the absence of strategies in the colleges of Arts and Sciences to analyze the internal and external environment and identify the strengths and weaknesses.
In addition, that many of the colleges of Arts and Sciences programs do not meet the needs of the labor market, and that there is no clear coordination between colleges and programs with the labor market requirements.
It was proposed a series of recommendations including: to conduct field studies on the quality of teaching, learning and educational outcomes in the faculties of Arts and Sciences and comparing the outputs with the quality of education in the colleges of the University City.
In addition, to hold meetings and workshops between the members of faculty teachers in the colleges of Arts and Sciences and the members of the reference section and to study the plans and academic programs.
