The ellipsis is one of the most important tools that achieves the cohesion in the texts, the sender uses it in his text to help him intensify the semantics with using few words and phrases, and the recipient does a very important function by searching for deleted items and discovering them from the text and the context.

In this study we are based on the procedures of the text linguistics in order to look at the important role that is played by various sections the ellipsis tool in the cohesion of Surah of Nahl Because it is considered as a superb model of the Quran text models.
