From this paper, it appears that crowdfunding is a recent emerging financial activity in same developed countries, and although the crowdfunding is small phenomenon, but it could grow rapidly.

In light of these latest developments, it is important for many other countries to benefit from new experience of crowdfunding to provide unconventional funding sources for projects that find difficulties with traditional financial sector, or in order to develop the local finance that lead the appropriate fund of public projects through the participation of local community citizens in all that concerns of these public projects.
