Abstract EN

This paper deals with Ibn Khaldun's contributions in fiscal policy with empirical evidence from contemporary international experiences.

The first section focuses on his contributions in economy.

Meanwhile we analyzed in The second section his contributions in fiscal policy, focusing on his theory of taxation and its relationship with economic development, as he is forerunner of supply-side economics.

We provide some empirical evidences from contemporary international experiences and We finished with his contributions in government expenditures and the state intervention in economic activity.
