This paper aims at exploring the circumstances that brought about the rebellion led by Sheikh Saleh bin Ali Al Harithi against Sultan Faisal bin Turki in 1895.
The Study provides in depth investigation into the factors that urged the rebels to attack the Sultan in Muscat.
It also sheds light on the British Government's motives of staying neutral, offering no support whatsoever to the Sultan.
Finally, the study discusses the consequences of this conflict on all parties concerned
