Abstract EN
In spite of the fact that many organizations are interested in the development of information systems, some other organizations have not given sufficient attention to this issue, including Yemeni organizations.
This has been observed by the researchers when dealing with some of these organizations.
The Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation is one of them, where it was observed, during exploratory visits, that some of the administrative units concerned with the application of management information systems in the organization have certain weaknesses in some aspects of the employees' performance in the organization; and this may be due to the quality level of their management information systems.
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the quality of management information systems on the employees' performance that was applied on the Public Telecommunication Corporation (PTC).
The population of the study included all users of management information systems in the PTC totaling (117) employees.
Since their number was, to some extent, small, they were selected to be the study sample.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive and analytical method was used.
A questionnaire was developed and validated to collect the data and measure the study objectives and to test its hypotheses.
The SPSS statistical pakage was used to analyze the data.
The study revelaed a set of conclusions; the most important of which was that the level of both the quality of management information systems and the performance of employees in the Yemeni Public Telecommunications Corporation was high.
Moreover, the quality of management information systems has a positive effect on the employees' performance in the PTC.
