The study of historical figures is important in efforts to write history for the influence of these characters in drawing and making many historical events and it also helps to know important aspects in the history of any country.

For the precise and detailed knowledge of Lebanon's contemporary history, we decided to highlight the character of Raymond Edde, who entered the political arena in 1949 after the death of his father Emil Edde, as a result, he was elected leader of the national bloc.

When he entered politics he take on in his principles, ideas and political views away from Internal and external influences.

We see this through his clear political moves in the Lebanese arena, Including the 1952 uprising and the previous events, by expressing his opposition to the ruling authority by stating its negative aspects, his role was not confined to this .His move was clear and peaceful in resolving the conflict between the conflicting parties in the 1958 uprising, and he called for abandoning their own interests and looking at the interests of Lebanon.

Raymond Edde had a clear position on the army's blatant interference in political matters, especially after FouadShehab received the power in Lebanon in 1958, so that he worked to return things to its course, by clarifying the error of this political.
