Abstract EN

This research consists of four main aspects: the first is entitled "before the words".

The researcher provides in it a brief glance on Jerusalem and the Zionist in the modern era.

The second section talks about the life of the poet Wadih Al Bustani.

In the third section I talked about Wadih Al Bustani‘s opinion on the British mandate and the intentions of Britain for a real national homeland for the Jews in Jerusalem and Palestine.

The last section of the research revolves around Wadih Al Bustani calling for Arab unity and the need for the Christian and Muslims Palestinians to work together against the Zionists in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is the most city that had this political and strategic interest, historical and literary.

And that’s because of its historical value in the wars and conflicts in the region and its value in holy religions.

This important value was reflected on Arabic poetry.

Moreover, it is rare to find any Arab poet who didn’t write poetry talking about Jerusalem and Palestine.

Suliman Gibran says about Wadih Al Bustani: "He was born in Lebanon, but he is Palestinian in his affiliation.

He was born Christian but lived in a Muslim environment and culture.

And the most important thing in his life is his poetry “.

Wadih Al Bustani was the first one who was against the British- Zionist mandate.
