Fatma Ahmed Ibraheem is one of the most prominent female figures in the contemporary history of Sudan and she is the first woman to be a member in the parliament.
She was raised in a cultivated family.
She was particularly interested in the woman's affairs so established the Sudanese Woman Union.
After October revolution in 1964, a good space for woman was given by the constitution written to be enrolled in the parliament work.
Fatima was a candidate of the union for the parliament and she won the membership in 1965.
