Wind erosion occurs in dry, dry desert regions, where the wind processes the dislodged dry soil granules and then deposits them in other places.

One of the most important factors leading to dryness and disintegration of the soil and therefore exposure to wind erosion is high temperatures, resulting in high evaporation / transpiration, low vegetation and scarcity of water resources.

As well as the abuse of human ecosystems, which leads to serious effects on those systems, and the importance of the subject was the study entitled (the relationship between erosion and the decline of agricultural land area in the province of Babylon) for the purpose of identifying the relationship between them, it was clear through the study that The study area is characterized by climatic conditions (high temperatures, evaporation values, low rainfall and low vegetation), making the soil particularly vulnerable to wind erosion during the summer.

The study showed that the amount of wind pressure on the soil increased during the summer until it reached the maximum speed Of wind (June, July and August), reaching 17,64 18,36 (16.56) km / h respectively, making the highest amount of wind pressure on the soil during these same months (1,867 2,022 km 1, The maximum area of the soil was 10882105,438 and the highest soil erosion value in May was 10432499.2 for the actual decrease in the value of the rain.
