Abstract EN

This study summarizes the analysis of the comparison between some bio-kinematical variables of cutter serve and smashed shots of the advanced tennis players.

It tackles the correlation of the explosive strength of the upper extremities muscles with these variables since there could be resemblance in performance between the above two shots, and hence, the researchers study such resemblance aided by a technique that relies on imaging and analysis.

Aims of the Study This study aims to know:  The comparison between some bio-kinematical variables of cutter serves and smashed shots in tennis play.

 The relation between the explosive strength of the upper extremities muscles with some bio-kinematical variables of cutter serve and smashed shots in tennis play.

Procedures The researchers used a descriptive approach where the research sample consists of five players representing Dohuk province.

The bio-kinematical variables and the explosive strength of the upper extremities muscles are determined through distributing forms to the experts.

The main experiment was conducted on Friday (25th, Jan 2014) at 4:00 p.m in Open Dohuk Stadium.

Conclusions The analysis of data has revealed that there are no significant differences between values of some bio-kinematical variables of serve and smashedshots in the beginning of the main status and during the moment of shooting the ball.

It also has shown a lack of significant correlation between the explosive strength of the upper extremities muscles with some bio-kinematical variables of serve and smashed shots.
