English Abstract

The need of the most important residential widgets that required the existence of mankind, which requires a number of conditions and the detailed design and surveying, as well as the imperatives of cost, security and standards of comfort.

It reinforces the importance of this use of the land is the biggest area which captures them as ranging between (35-45%) of the land uses in the city, and whether that was the pattern of housing vertically or horizontally, it undoubtedly remains closely associated spatially very important.

With the ever-growing population growth, urbanization and family fission and high economic level, the need for housing remains under pressure and the continuing high demand, offset is always relative and varying levels offer limited as a result of several factors, led by the factor of land, finance and investment and planning a successful and sustainable.

Faced with these challenges, large and continuing to meet this need, it was incumbent on those interested in this issue of economists, planners and geographers and others to develop strategies, possible application, which begins from the basis of a comprehensive knowledge allover spatial production of such housing projects and the study of its territory as well as the quality and level of the occupants of those units, the researcher finds the need to adopt these strategies within the spatial into the city of Karbala as a case study, as follows: 1.

Fill the void.

Relay current growth.

Jump on the current expansion barriers.

Expansion (style) vertical.

5.

Residential suburban.

6.

New cities (alternative).
