Abstract EN

Despite the discrimination and hostility against the Palestinians of the Occupied Lands in 1948 by the Israeli occupation state, and despite their marginalization by the Palestinian leadership in the years of intense conflict, their role, especially with respect to identity, has proven that they arc not only part of the Palestinian people, but they arc a genuine part of the equation, maintaining their land and their Arab Palestinian identity, and adopting political positions that support the national cause in various forms.

They can also confront the occupation authorities with effective mass tools and official tools in the Knesset and local authorities.

Therefore, this important part of the Palestinian people should not be treated as reserve factor in any future solution, nor as a side issue, but as a strategic asset with its own importance when reaching any final solution to the Palestinian question.
