This study sheds light on the Iranian position on the Gulf-Egyptian campaign against Qatar, given that Qatar's relationship with Iran was one of the reasons presented by Saudi Arabia to sever relations with Qatar.

The paper details the contexts of the crisis and its reflections on the Iranian behavior: especially, that it came after the attack by US President Donald Trump on Iran at the Riyadh summit which took place just before the eruption of the crisis with Qatar.

The author believes that Iran has acted to exploit the crisis in several diplomatic and economic aspects and to take advantage of the rift in inter-GCC relations.

Via their hostile policy in the crisis, the four countries, participating in the embargo against Qatar, enable Iran to achieve its objectives in the region.
