Abstract EN

The current situation of Iraqi society in general and youth in particular ,experienced and involved in the challenges and developments led to negative consequences for young people resulted in a crisis created many problems become a concern of the Iraqi society .

Bringing the Iraqi youth are living a real crisis threatens serious consequences that has not made sincere efforts to rectify the matter ,and perhaps what we see from deviations and behavioral problems ,intellectual and religious extremism and terrorism , intellectual and serious manifestations of it .

The university of the most important societal institutions that affect and are affected by the social atmosphere surrounding it from making society on the one hand and on the other hand , is its tool-making in the technical and professional , political and intellectual leaders .

Therefore , the contribution of the university in the field of youth immunization against crime should be played by means of enabling them to perform a valid function and carry out its functions in a manner consistent preventive policy as a target decree through her role as a tool .

The researcher reached a set of conclusions , including ; 1- One that most Iraqi universities almost single side work educational institution limited to the cognitive side and absent from her mind the basic function that should be performed , namely , the educational function .

In light of the findings that emerged from the study , the researcher to develop a set of recommendations to the relevant of them , including ; 1- Add new approaches on the prevention of crime and delinquency explain how young people can insulate themselves against crime and find out effective ways to move away from vice and shafts deviation by taking advantage of international experiences in this field.
