Abstract EN

Mortalities according to type is a second variable after age.

The difference of mortalities according to type attracted much attention of scientists in which mortalities of male are higher than females due to their exposure to the outward world and hardships of living.

Due to the rarity of population studies concerning mortalities, the researchers investigate the reasons of this difference between male and female death rate and to know its spatial time tendencies.

The researchers depend on the analytical methods to analyze mortality phenomenon and statistical methods.

Moreover, she used standard rates, and relative significance and Pearson correlation coefficient.

The study shows that the total of mortalities in Al-Qadisiyah governorate is (61524) case, with annual average (3418) case.

The study reveals that male mortalities are higher than females in different ages, where male mortalities are (31698) case by (51.5) and (29826) case for females by (48.5).

The rate of standard mortalities for males in Al-Qadisiyah province was (3.3) of thousand during the period ( 1997-2014) while it was (3.2) of thousand during the same period.

The percentage of mortalities among administrative districts of males and females is different where the highest percentage of males death was in Diwaniyah district, about (%53.4) and (%46.6) for females while the lowest percentage of males' mortalities was in Afak district about (%45.9) and (%54.1) for females.
