Abstract EN

The relationship between the religious establishment and crimes of corruption is based on an attempt to make use of the effectiveness of religion in religions communities such as the Iraqi community in the process of social informal control or members of staff in government departments, particularly for those who are in charge of important responsibilities.

This contributes in the reduction of negative effects of the different types of corruption which is growing steadily in society.

To identify the different situations that corruption could be treated through, it is the duty of the religious establishment to stand against corruption as an evil that must be stopped, and that its main religious and social role.

This is based on a number of religious teachings (Fatwas) which are effective in limiting the spread of some phenomena that the religious establishment deemed negative since they affect negatively the religious commitment of people.

There are many examples for corruption in the contemporary political life that destroys society completely.
