Abstract EN

Foreign direct investment is one of the most important sources of external funding for developing countries at the present time, due to its role in financing productive projects and the transfer of technology and expertise which leads to increased productivity and exports and reduction of imports, leading to improve the status of the balance of payments If foreign direct investments contribute in improving the situation of the balance of payments in the host countries, but it is difficult to generalize this finding to all countries, Due to the different of foreign companies’ objectives relating to development and labor from one country to another, and the different host countries' policies toward these investments.

This study is trying to identify the impact of the FDI inflows to Algeria during the period (2000-2014) on the balance of payments of Algeria, through study of its impact on both the current account and capital account during the period studied.
